Looking up

It's been pretty nice all day today - sunny, then clouding over, but still dry and mild. Tonight we may see some more rain, but then it's looking sunny on into the weekend. Still no sign of the snow we need for the games, but at least the monsoons are breaking...

And in case you're wondering, yes, the highway to Squamish is OPEN. I can't believe the number of people who are still convinced you can't get here. So one more time, with feeling: you can drive to Squamish any time you want; you can't drive beyond Squamish to Whistler without a pass, but the checkpoint is north of Squamish at the turnoff for Alice Lake Provincial Park. So if you've been wanting to come up for a day of climbing, or hiking, or biking, or snowshoeing, or anything else... then come on up.
