Well, it had to happen eventually...

...but you'd think they could have held off on the rain until we got past Labour Day. I mean, really... this is just plain mean-spiritedness. It's been sooo nice, for sooo long, a couple more days of warm sunny weather wouldn't have killed anyone.

So instead, we've finally got rain. Not pouring down, soak-you-to-the-bones, monsoon rains like we'll be getting in October and November, but rain nonetheless. It's what I would call steady, light rain. Still OK for hiking or mountain biking as long as you don't mind being a bit damp at the end of the trip, but most of the climbing areas will be pretty wet.

On the other hand, when was the last time you had a proper "rest" day? Maybe just kick back on the couch with a good book.
